The back pressure valve is a tool used to seal off the pressure in the well for maintenance or replacement of the main valve of the Christmas tree.

Back pressure valves are available in both one-way and two-way types. One-way back pressure valves block downhole pressure and allow fluid to circulate downward through the back pressure valve. If pressure testing of the tree above the tubing hanger is required, a two-way back pressure valve must be used.

The special short-toothed trapezoidal thread is used on the back pressure valve, which has high strength, is not easy to glue, and has a long service life.

The back pressure valve is used in conjunction with the back pressure valve installation and removal tool to be installed and removed through the Christmas tree, so as to quickly and safely control the bottom hole pressure.
